writing an article.. by Candelaria Lonegro

Painting –It is not difficult to paint... The really difficult is to be creative!

I first got interested in painterly was in kinder garden when I was about 5 years old. I was staying with my teacher, who is a keen draw, and I wanted to try it for myself. She encouraged me by teaching me to do fairly easy paints to start with.
I found it at first a bit difficult, but on the other hand I thought that I could do more, so I started more complicated paints. My family was very proud of me although sometimes my niece doesn’t understand my ideas she laughed at my paintings.
When I was 9 years old, I decided to do painterly lessons and now I think I’m quite a competent painter like my mother. Every weekend my family comes round to my house and they often ask me to show my new pictures, they know that I got always lots of new designs, I really find it relaxing and interesting.
I’d recommend it as a hobby because for me it’s one of the most relaxing and creative free-time activities I can imagine.

Describing an animal: koalas

KOALAS
The Koala habitat is the east coast of Australia. It lives in the forest in the eucalyptus trees. From the marsupial’s family they look like teddy bears with big rounded head and big hairy ears.
They eat mostly the eucalyptus leaves and are herbivore; they’re very selective with their food that’s why they smell the leaves before they eat. Koalas are nocturnal animals and most of their activities are done at night because they sleep 20 hours a day in order to save energy.
Koalas became endangered for two reasons, firstly they’re hunted for their beautiful grey fur, and secondly a large area of their habitat is destroyed either by humans who cut the forest or by natural circumstances from forest fires due to dry conditions.
In order to protect the koala, the Australian government announced in 1937 that the Koala bear would be a protected species in all of Australia.
